NCEA Level 2 Calculus

This year students are introduced to the foundation of calculus, their understanding of algebra will also be challenged and deepened. There is also a stronger focus in applying mathematical concepts to graphical problems. Many of the internal assessments will be to do with graphs and geometry, while both the algebra and calculus external exams have had graphical problems in the past years.

A probability external is also available for students who are taking calculus, while it is a little different from the other topics offered, the same mathematical critical thinking will still be involved.

Tutoring for this year will focus on consolidating differentiation concepts and algebra skills, both of which are vital for next year. I will also thoroughly walk students through the understanding of graphs and how they relate to calculus. Please get in touch with James today to discuss how we can best help you do well in Level 2 Calculus.
